Home from surgery

#1

Surgery went well…but I had a VERY hard time waking up from anesthesia. That has never happened to me before. I don’t even remember talking to the surgeon.

One of the stipulations of my release was that I had to drink without vomiting & pee. Well…I drank, and drank, and drank, and drank. I swear it took 3 hours after I started drinking before I could pee. Plus I went through two IV bags!! I took my Evoxac with my first cup of water. And when I FINALLY did pee it was very little. And I still haven’t went a normal amount yet.

Very weird…this is my first time under anesthesia since my SJS dx. So I wasn’t sure what to expect but at least now I know to expect to be EXTRA dry for hours after I wake up next time.

Thanks for all the well wishes!
Lisa

I’m glad to hear that it went well.

Interestingly, I’ve never had that happen, being so so dry after surgery. Hopefully you won’t have the opportunity to see if it happens again anytime in the near future.

Hurray! Lisa’s back. Sounds like you’ve come through pretty well, despite the extra challenge presented by your Sjogren’s. Well done, you!

Oh, I HATE general anaesthetics. Ugh … that detached and drunk feeling.

Now baby and coddle yourself, or better still, let someone else do that.

All the best

Seenie

For you. Make sure you keep them well watered.

Thanks so much Seenie…I decided to sleep in the recliner last night. But I am feeling A LOT better this morning so I have already told hubby that last night was his only night in our big ole bed alone, well beside sleeping with the dogs. lol

And thanks for the flowers!! They are lovely and I will DEFINITELY keep them watered!! lol

Keep yourself well- watered too! I think I did post before about how hard I found it not being able to drink before my op- I had to drink and drink afterwards to make up for it- it was like being dehydrated!

Sorry, my dry eyes continued to get worse the first couple of weeks. I could not keep my eyes open more than two hours, it hurt so much it gave me a head ache. Sorry, I had no idea how bad it would be.
