I have been diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome 2014. I have been tested regularly since then and positives every time. Always the same number of ANA. This time it came back negative and no inflammation every time. Although I did show possible kidney issues.
I have been feeling a flare (irritated/dry eyes, dry skin, thin hair, fatigue, brain fog…etc) and have read that a flare can cause antibodies to fluctuate and sometimes look like they are normal. I left a message with the Dr’s office to explain the results to me. In the meantime, I thought I would consult the sjogren’s peeps internet oracle! Has anyone ever had this occur? What does it mean when you are suddenly negative for autoimmune disease?
